PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- La Roche University maintained control throughout the contest as the Mounties fell 80-39 on the road Wednesday night.

Cameron Bates (Fort Pierce, FL, John Carroll) led the way for the Mounties with ten points, on efficient 4-of-5 shooting from the floor.
How It Happened
- The Mounties were held to just five points in the opening quarter, with La Roche running up the score to 24-5.
- Back-to-back layups by Bates early in the second quarter provided a lift to the Mounties but ultimately La Roche continued to build on its lead, with the score 46-15 at halftime.
- While the Mounties were unable to cut the advantage, they improved significantly in the third and fourth quarters. They only lost the third quarter by six points (14-8) and the fourth quarter by four points (20-16).
- In the end, La Roche earned the conference victory, 80-39.
