CRESSON, Pa. -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Men's Soccer team hosted Penn State Behrend in their first AMCC contest of the 2022 season. The top two teams in the preseason poll played to a 1-1 draw.

Louis Bez (Bordeaux, France /Â Lycée Sainte-Marie de la Bastide) scored his first career goal, which came in the second half, to tie the game at one.
- Goalkeeper,
Luke Priestley (Edlesborough, England / Aylesbury Grammar School), had a game-high, eight saves, to help preserve the draw.
How It Happened
- In the first ten minutes, both teams played at a furious pace, as Mount Aloysius put three shots on goal and the Lions missed a few good opportunities. In the 14th minute, the Lions scored to take a 1-0 lead. The rest of the second half was competitive, featuring a significant number of shots and three cards handed out.
- Bez knotted the score at one, in the 49th minute, on a free kick. The goal gave the Mounties some life, despite not being able to score.
- Each team had their chances down the stretch, with Priestley denying a number of Lion shots. Mount Aloysius also finished the game a man-down, due to a second yellow card issued.
- Neither team scored over the final 40 minutes, leaving the game to a 1-1 draw.
Into the Box Score
- Penn State Behrend did hold a significant advantage in shots taken (25-9) and a smaller advantage in shots on goal (9-5). The Lions also had twice as many corner kicks.
- Mount Aloysius committed more fouls in the contest, 13-7.

- Mount Aloysius will play one final non-conference game, as they travel to Shenandoah, on Wednesday.
- Shenandoah is currently 2-4-3 on the season, following three consecutive losses in ODAC play.
- The Mounties have lost their previous two meetings with the Hornets. Last season, they fell, 3-1.
