ERIE, Pa. -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Volleyball team wrapped up their regular season schedule, traveling to Penn State Behrend. They dropped the match to the Lions in straight sets.

Ashlee Parrish (Northern Cambria, Pa. / Northern Cambria), had seven kills and added a game-high, 20 digs.

How It Happened
- Both teams started out in a close set, with Penn State Behrend leading, 7-6. The Lions then scored nine of the next ten points to take a commanding 16-7 lead. Mount Aloysius never recovered, dropping the first set, 25-13.
- The second set did not start out any better for the Mounties, as they gave up the first nine points of the set. The deficit was too large to overcome, as they fell down two sets, 25-12.
- Mount Aloysius found some rythmn in the third set, splitting the first 18 points. The Lions would score nine of the next 12 points, giving them their biggest lead of the third set. Mount Aloysius got as close as two points, but were unable to even it back up before falling, 25-20.
Into the Box Score
- Penn State Behrend held a big hitting advantage, hitting .305 for the game, while the Mounties only hit .041.
- In the third set, each team had 12 kills, but the Mounties committed nine hitting errors while the Lions only had one.
- The Lions also had the edge in service aces (5-2) and blocks (6-1).
Up Next
- Mount Aloysius earned the #3-seed in the upcoming AMCC Tournament. They went 4-3 in AMCC, ending in a three-way tie with Penn State Altoona and Pitt-Bradford. Due to their wins against both teams, they ended in the #3 slot.
- The Mounties will host La Roche, on Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m. in the ACWC.
- The Redhawks enter the AMCC Tournament with a 3-4 AMCC record, including a win over the Mounties, back on October 18. La Roche also beat Mount Aloysius in a non-conference game, earlier this year.
