CRESSON, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius men's basketball team pulled away from visiting Penn State Du Bois in the latter stages of the game to earn an 81-61 victory on Saturday afternoon.

Jason Coronado (Orlando, FL, Ocoee) was also in double figures with eleven points, while dishing out a team-high five assists and contributing three steals.

How It Happened
- Penn State Du Bois held a slight advantage in the early part of the game, leading 10-6 after the first five minutes. After four straight points by Morrow, the Mounties tied the game 10-10. The game was again even at 14-14 and then at 20-20 about midway through the half.
- Mount Aloysius took over the lead at the 8:24 mark and then stretched it to four points, 24-20. A Coronado free throw gave the Mounties their largest lead of the half, 36-30, with about one minute remaining in the period. Mount Aloysius eventually would hold a slight advantage at halftime, 36-33.
- In the second half, the Mounties steadily increased the margin, going ahead 53-37 after the opening five minutes. However, due to several three-pointers, Penn State Du Bois came back to get the game within three points, 55-52, and then midway through the half, were down by just one point, 56-55.
- The game stayed tight until Mount Aloysius built up a two possession advantage, 64-58, with five minutes to go in the game. Mount Aloysius then finished strongly, scoring 17 points in the final part of the game and holding its opponent to just a last-second three-pointer. The Mounties won by a final score of 81-61 for their second win of the 2022-23 season.
