How It Happened

Penn College followed with a 5-0 run before a Drutarosky layup moved Mount Aloysius within three points, 10-7, midway through the quarter. Penn College then outscored the Mounties 15-3 through the end of the quarter to lead 25-10.
- Penn College continued to build on its advantage in the second quarter, reaching a 25-point margin, 41-16, in the latter stages of the quarter. However, Clemons hit a lay-up and 3-pointer in the final minute to cut the difference to 20 points, 41-21, heading into halftime.
- During the third quarter, the Mount Aloysius held Penn College to its lowest scoring output of the night, 15 points, but was unable to make much impact offensively. Therefore, Penn College stretched the advantage to 28 points by the end of the quarter, 56-28.
- Clemons provided a spark in the first minute of the fourth quarter with back-to-back three-pointers, decreasing the lead slightly to 59-34. Mount Aloysius kept pace with Penn College this quarter, and even outscored Penn by one point, but could not come back from the large deficit, eventually falling 72-45.
