CRESSON, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team won in commanding fashion, 4-1, over Alfred State University on Wednesday afternoon, earning a return trip to the AMCC Championship game to defend its 2021 title.

Louis Bez (Bordeaux, France, Lycée Sainte-Marie de la Bastide) added one goal and one assist.

Jonathan Fernandez (Herndon, VA, Herndon) rounded out the scoring for the Mounties with one goal.
How It Happened
- Nine minutes into the game, Camacho scored on a breakaway to put Mount Aloysius ahead 1-0. Then, at the 24:21 mark, Fernandez found the back of the net on an assist by Bez for a 2-0 advantage. The Mounties kept the 2-0 lead heading into the second half but would have to overcome some adversity, as they went down one player due to a red card at the 32:29 mark.
- In the second half, despite being down one player, Mount Aloysius scored again on a long free kick by Bez in the 57th minute. Then, after an Alfred State red card that evened out the teams at the 64:43 mark, Camacho came through a second time, on a penalty kick, to increase the margin to 4-0. Approximately one minute later, Alfred State managed to get on the board, but the significant lead would prove to be insurmountable, as Mount Aloysius won by a final score of 4-1.
