How It Happened
- After the opening three minutes, Mount Aloysius was ahead 11-6, before Houghton took over the lead, 15-14, at the 14:53 mark. Houghton maintained a slight advantage over the course of the next five minutes, but Mount Aloysius stayed close, and then regained the lead on an "and 1" play by
Joel Lonigro (Connellsville, Pa., Greensburg Central Catholic) off a steal by Morrow, to make it 28-26 with nine minutes left in the half.
- The Mounties built on this lead, reaching a seven-point margin, 36-29, on a Hagwood fast break layup at the 7:33 mark.
