- Abbey Dobbins (Aliquippa, Pa., Hopewell) contributed a team-high seven rebounds and four assists.

How It Happened
-
In the early part of the first quarter, the game went back-and-forth, with no team leading by more than one possession. However, at the 2:28 mark, the Mounties would begin to gain some separation, staring with a three-pointer by Mercier to put them ahead 13-11. They scored on the next two possessions to earn a six-point lead, an advantage they would maintain in the final minute of the quarter, in which they led 19-13.
- Elmira began the second quarter with a 5-0 run, before Hailey Drutarosky (Freedom, Pa., Sewickley Academy) nailed a shot from deep to put the Mounties up 22-18. But at the 4:43 mark, Elmira took over the lead, 23-22. A minute later, the Mounties tied the game at 24 but eventually fell slightly behind by the end of the quarter, 30-26.
- Stigers and Drutarosky connected from long distance to even the game, 32-32, one minute into the third quarter. Elmira then responded with a 10-0 run to make it 42-32 midway through the quarter. However, after the teams traded baskets, the Mounties answered with a 10-0 run of their own, capped by a Mercier three-pointer, resulting in a 44-44 score. The quarter concluded with the game tied, 48-48.
- Elmira started the final quarter with a 7-0 run to go ahead, 55-48. However, the Mounties continued to hit from deep and did not let Elmira pull away. At the 4:21 mark, the Mounties were within two points, down 60-58. Then, at the 3:24 mark, the Mounties earned the lead on a three-pointer by Stigers, 62-60. After the lead changed hands a couple of times, the game ultimately was tied with one minute remaining, 65-65. The Mounties had multiple opportunities but could not score and then fouled in the final seconds. Elmira's Alyssa Waters only hit one free throw but that is all the home team would need to edge the Mounties, 66-65.
