CRESSON, Pa. --
Imil Britt (Johnstown, PA, Greater Johnstown) electrified the court and the crowd with dazzling layups and perfect shooting from long range, carrying the Mounties to a 80-78 comeback win over visiting Medaille College Saturday afternoon.
Leaders
- Britt's dominant offensive performance included a career-high 39 points, and he was a sublime 7-of-7 from the three-point line. He also had three steals on the defensive end.

Dwayne Jones (Philadelphia, PA, Greater Johnstown) came off the bench to score 13 points and grab a team-high eight rebounds.

Carlos Palacio (Bilbao, Spain, Phelps School) was also in double figures with 11 points.

Jason Coronado (Orlando, FL, Ocoee) added nine points and dished out a team-high three assists.
How It Happened
- Britt started his spectacular day early when he scored the first points of the game, a shot from behind-the-arc. After Palacio and Coronado also got in on the action, Britt connected on another three-pointer to give the Mounties a 13-7 lead after four minutes of play.
- Medaille responded with a 8-0 run to give them the lead, 15-13. The lead would then swap between the teams, before Britt hit his third three-pointer for a slight advantage, 22-18. At the eight-minute mark, the Mounties extended the lead to five points, 27-22.
- Medaille was able to erase this small deficit and regained the lead at the 4:57 mark, 30-29. The Mounties, however, immediately responded with a jumper by Palacio. During the final minutes of the half, the game stayed within one possession, with Medaille eventually finishing the period with a one-point edge on the Mounties, 38-37.
- Medaille owned the beginning stages of the second half, increasing the margin to sixteen points at the 13:25 mark for a score of 59-43. At the ten-minute mark, Britt hit a free throw to cut the deficit to single figures briefly, but shortly after, Medaille again stretched the lead to as many as 17 points.
- However, down 72-55, the Mounties began a remarkable comeback, eventually scoring 19 unanswered points. The run concluded with seven straight points for Britt, with the crescendo being a go-ahead three-pointer for the Mounties' first lead since the opening half, 74-72, at the 3:29 mark.
- The Mounties held onto a slight advantage over the next several possessions before Medaille went ahead with one minute remaining 78-77. However, Britt came through once again, sinking two free throws to put the Mounties ahead 79-78.
- As the final minute ticked off the clock, Medaille had a couple opportunities off turnovers but were unable to convert. The game ended with a free throw by
Rafael Ibáñez Medina (Mexico City, Mexico, Canarias Basketball Academy) and a last-second heave by Medaille that did not find the basket, resulting in an 80-78 victory for the Mounties.

- Led by Britt, the Mounties shot 53.3 percent from long distance, compared to Medaille's 40 percent. The Mounties were also more efficient overall (52.7 percent to 47.5 percent).
- Mount Aloysius forced Medaille into 19 turnovers - ten of which were credited as steals - resulting in 22 points off turnovers.
