MYRTLE BEACH -- On Friday, the Mount Aloysius Baseball team finished up their spring trip with a rematch against Suffolk University. The Rams had beaten the Mounties in a game on Monday afternoon. The Mounties got the best of them this time, winning 11-6.

Aidan Bell (Woodbridge, VA, Prince William County)Â continued his hot hitting going 3-4 with two RBIs, and adding his fourth homerun of the season.
- Out of the bullpen,
Chris Hasse (Johnstown, PA, Westmont Hilltop)Â threw 3.2 innings of one-hit ball, preserving the win for the Mounties. He also added five strikeouts.
How It Happened
- Suffolk began the scoring in the top of the first inning, giving them a 1-0 lead. The Rams then added three more runs in the top of the second, jumping ahead, 4-0.
- In the bottom of the third inning, the Mounties got on the scoreboard.
Jared Houser (State College, PA, State College)Â scored the first run, after he led off with a single, he scored on a passed ball while
Trap Wentling (Greenville, PA, Greenville)Â walked to reach base. After Wentling stole third,
Tyler Suder (Boswell, PA, North Star)Â walked. They both advanced a base on a wild pitch, cutting the Ram lead to 4-2. Quade followed up the wild pitch with a double, driving in Suder to make it 4-3.
- The Rams got a two-run homerun in the top of the fourth, putting the lead at 6-3.
- Suder got the two runs back in the bottom of the fourth, when he singled with the bases loaded. He was thrown out at second trying to stretch into a double. Quade again followed Suder with an RBI hit, singling to left field, driving in Houser from third, tying the game at 6.
- After a scoreless fifth inning, the Mounties took an 8-6 lead in the sixth inning, when Quade and
Jeremy Iellimo (Arnold, PA, Valley Area)Â each picked up two-out base hits to drive in runs.
- Mount Aloysius kept the pressure on in the seventh inning. Following a scoreless top half of the inning, Bell led off the bottom half with a solo shot, pushing the Mountie lead to three runs.
Troy Emert (Rockwood, PA, Rockwood)Â and Wentling both reached base with singles, after the Bell homerun.
Ryan Bushey (Latrobe, Pa., Derry)Â would come up big, driving in Wentling with a two-out single, making it 10-6 Mounties.
- Mount Aloysius added one final marker in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Bell drove in Iellimo on a sacrifice fly, giving them the final lead of 11-6.
Into the Box Score
- While both teams committed one error, the Rams allowed two unearned runs, in part due to the four wild pitches by the starting pitcher. Mount Aloysius had no passed balls or wild pitches.
- Mountie pitchers, Hasse and starter,
Creek Miller (Lakewood, OH, Lakewood), combined to strike out eight Ram batters, while Mountie batters only struck out four times.
