HIRAM, Ohio -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Men's Volleyball team traveled to Hiram for an AMCC Tri-match with the Terriers and the Lions of Penn State Behrend. The Mounties had a rough day, losing both games, 3-0.

How It Happened
Game One vs. Hiram
- Hiram scored the first four points of the first set and never looked back. Mount Aloysius scored three consecutive points, once in the set, dropping the first set, 25-13.
- The Mounties scored the first couple points of the second set, but ultimately saw the Terriers go on a similar stretch to the first set, getting a two set advantage, 25-14.
- Mount Aloysius showed more fight in the third and final set, leading 9-8 at the latest. Hiram did slowly stretch the lead, winning the final set, 25-18.
Game Two vs. Penn State Behrend
- In the first set, the Mounties tied the game 4-4. Penn State Behrend would go on to score 21 of the final 25 points, downing the Mounties, 25-8.
- The second set was strangely similar, as the Lions used another big run, following the Mounties tying the set at four. Behrend would eventually lead the set, 17-5. They wound up winning the set, 25-10.
- During the third set, Mount Aloysius hung around a little longer, as they tied the set at seven. The Lions would score 13 of the next 14 points to get a 20-8 advantage. While the teams split the final ten points, it was too late for the Mounties as they fell, 25-13.

- Mount Aloysius hit better in the first game, hitting just above zero, with a .018 hitting percentage. They had 18 kills with 17 errors. In the second game, they had 11 kills compared to 20 errors, giving them a -.125 hitting percentage.
- The Mounties struggled in the serve reception category against Hiram, as the Terriers had 12 aces over the course of the game.
