CRESSON, Pa. -- On Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius Men's Volleyball team played host to the Saint Vincent Bearcats in an AMCC match. After a strong first set, the Mounties lost the final three, falling 3-1.

How It Happened
- Saint Vincent started off the game, scoring the first three points, before the Mounties matched with three straight. The Bearcats scored another three before the Mounties went on a 10-2 run. The run got the Mounties a 13-8 lead, which helped them stay ahead. SVC got as close as two, 22-20, but the Mounties held on to take the first set.
- The second set started off tight, as neither team jumped too far ahead, with a score of 9-8 SVC. The Bearcats scored ten of the next 14 points, giving them a seven point lead that they would not relinquish as the set ended, 25-19.
- Both teams were highly competitive in the third set, as the lead changed hands four times. Saint Vincent held a slim 21-20 lead after a kill by Wlodarczyk cut the lead. The Bearcats would score the next three points and split the final two, giving them a 25-21 third set victory.
- Mount Aloysius showed some life in the fourth set, jumping ahead quickly, 7-2. The Mounties held the lead up to 14-10, before a Bearcat timeout. The timeout proved useful, as Saint Vincent scored the next five points and 11 of the next 12, flipping the script, 21-15. It was too much for the Mounties to overcome, as they fell, 25-20.
Into the Box Score
- Mount Aloysius outhit the Bearcats in the first frame. They had 11 kills and six errors, while Saint Vincent had 10 kills and nine errors.
- While the Mounties had their best hitting set of the night, in the fourth set (.226), the Bearcats had theirs (.364) with 11 kills and only three errors.
