Lacrosse Drops Both Over Weekend

CRESSON, Pa. -- On Friday and Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Lacrosse team played two United East Conference games, as they hosted St. Mary's (Md.) and Medaille. The Mounties dropped both games falling to 1-3 in United East play.

Leaders
- Katie Figinski (Abingdon, MD, Edgewood) scored four goals on the weekend, including the only goal of the game on Friday night.
- Goalkeeper, , saved 17 shots over the weekend, including 12 saves against St. Mary's.

Highlights
- In Friday's game against St. Mary's, Figinski scored the Mounties' lone goal of the contest, as she found the net for the final goal of the first half.
- Figinski scored the first goal of the game, on Saturday, with a solid goal in transition, putting the Mounties up 1-0.
- Near the end of the first quarter, on Saturday, Courtney Vought (Somerset, PA, Somerset) added an impressive goal as she was hit by a Medaille defender. The defender picked up a yellow card for the hard hit, but the goal counted.
- The lone Mountie goal of the second quarter on Saturday was Figinski's second goal of the day, on a free position opportunity. She received a pass from Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, MD, St. Maria Goretti) and efficiently deposited the shot in the net.
- Figinski and Mason each added a goal in the third quarter, getting the Mountie total up to five on Saturday.
