WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team equaled host Williams College in shots on goal, but ultimately did not convert as many scores, falling 3-1 on Saturday morning.

Luke Traynor (London, England, Woodhouse College) had the lone goal for the Mounties - his first of the season.

Rhett Pletcher (Rockwood, PA, Rockwood) provided the assist on Traynor's goal, and also added a shot on goal.

Tevin Beadle (Kingston, Jamaica, St. George's College) and
Ryan Peddle (Tauranga, New Zealand, Tauranga Boys' College) each recorded two shots and one shot on goal, and
Daniel Irujo (Pamplona, Spain, Sagrado Corazon) had two shot attempts as well.
How It Happened
- Mount Aloysius had several shot attempts in the first period but was unable to find the back of the net. The Mounties played strong defense as well, almost holding Williams scoreless for the entire half. However, at the 43:51 mark, Williams got on the board giving it the 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
- Williams carried the momentum into the second period, expanding its lead to 2-0 just after three minutes. Although the Mounties would answer quickly, with Traynor scoring on a pass from Pletcher at the 51:38 mark.
- Mount Aloysius stayed within one score over the next 20 minutes, but Williams would add another goal to make it 3-1. Williams held on to its advantage as the final minutes ticked down, winning 3-1.

- Williams committed seven offside violations, compared to zero for the Mounties.
