CRESSON, Pa. -- On Tuesday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Volleyball team returned from a brief hiatus to beat Penn College, 3-0, and win their fourth straight match. Their fifth win of the season surpassed last season's win total.

Ashlee Parrish (Northern Cambria, Pa. / Northern Cambria) led the Mounties with a game-high, 12 kills, and a team-high, 17 digs.

Kadence Della Valle (Carrolltown, Pa. / Cambria Heights) had an impressive, seven aces, for the game, including four in the first set.

How It Happened
- The first set saw multiple point runs from both squads throughout the set. After falling behind 3-0, Mount Aloysius scored six straight to take a 6-3 lead. With the Mounties leading 16-13, Penn College nine of the next 10 points to grab a 22-17 advantage. The Mounties responded with eight of the final nine points, including three kills by Parrish and two aces by Della Valle, winning the first set, 25-23.
- Mount Aloysius started stronger in set number two, grabbing an 11-4 lead. The Wildcats made a run, cutting the game to 14-11, but the Mounties followed with eight of the next nine points to lead 22-12. A small run by Penn College preceded the Mounties finishing off the final three points and winning the second set, 25-16.
- In the third set, Mount Aloysius took control quickly and got ahead, 15-5. They held strong down the stretch, winning the final set, 25-18, to give them their fourth straight victory.

- Mount Aloysius held a strong advantage in the serve receive game, with 14 total service aces, compared to only four by Penn College.
- The Mounties also held an edge in hitting, as they hit .141 for the game. They had double-digit kills in every set, while the Wildcats only had single-digits.
