CARLISLE, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Baseball team got back in the win column on Wednesday, beat Dickinson, 10-1. The Mounties used a five-run first inning and never looked back, winning their sixth game of the season.
Leaders

Troy Emert (Rockwood, Pa. / Rockwood) drove in five runs on the day, as he hit his first home run of the season, a grand slam, while going 1-for-3.
- SophomoreÂ
Payton Warner (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Trinity) got his first action of the season and went 3-for-5, while also driving in a run.

How It Happened
- Mount Aloysius jumped ahead in the first inning, with the first seven hitters reaching base safely. The Mounties scored the first run without registering a hit, as three of the first four batters were hit by a pitch and the other walked. With the bases loaded, Emert came to the plate and homered over the left field wall, giving the Mounties a 5-0 lead.Â
Tyler Suder (Boswell, Pa. / North Star) drove in two more runs, when he singled with two outs, spotting the pitching staff an early 7-0 advantage.
- Dickinson got one run back in the bottom half of the first, scoring on a wild pitch, cutting the Mountie lead to 7-1.
- In the fourth inning, Emert drove in another run on a sacrifice fly, extending the Mountie lead to 8-1.
- As the Mountie pitchers continued to keep the Dickinson offense at bay, Warner drove in another insurance run in the eighth inning andÂ
Joshua Brown (Manassas, Va. /Â Osbourn Park) scored on a wild pitch later in the inning, giving Mount Aloysius a 10-1 advantage. Two more zeros gave the Mounties the much-needed victory.
Into the Box Score
- Despite scoring 10 runs, the Mounties still left 12 runners on base. In addition to their 10 hits, they walked eight times and had four hit batsmen.
- The Mounties used a season-high, eight pitchers, asÂ
Dylan Brown (La Plata, Md. / La Plata) got the start and was the only Mountie pitcher to go more than 1.0 inning. He went 2.0 innings and his only run allowed was an unearned run.
