How It Happened
- Geneva opened the game on the offensive, picking up the first six shot attempts of the game, spread across a deliberately played opening first half. Mount Aloysius struggled finding open looks, only picking up two shot attempts in the first.
- A tight stretch of corner kicks beginning in the 7th minute earned Priestly two of his three saves; following this stretch, the Mounties were able to limit looks, heading into the second half tied scoreless.
- The second saw an inverse in offensive control, with Mount Aloysius dominating the attack early on, recording quick shot attempts before the pace of the game slowed due to both teams picking up fouls and cards.
- A missed penalty kick opportunity in the 67th minute looked to be the Mounties best chance of scoring, but an 82nd minute goal by Barrant put the visiting team up one with just eight minutes of play left.
- A final Golden Tornado shot attempt sailed high, giving Mount Aloysius the 1-0 win.
Into the Box Score
- Shot attempts show the offense flip from half to half, with the 1st seeing a 7-2 separation favoring the hosts, while the second saw a 14-3 difference favoring the Mounties.
- Mount Aloysius's offense generated more fouls on the team, with the visitors recording nine second half fouls compared to just two in the first.
