CRESSON, Pa. – The Mount Aloysius Women's Volleyball team fell to the Alfred State, on Saturday, in straight sets. They loss dropped the Mounties' record to 13-14 as they head into the postseason.
The Pioneers (19-6, 7-1 AMCC), controlled the match from the start, winning the first set 25-20. The Mounties struggled to mount a comeback in the second and third sets, falling 25-20 and 25-21, respectively.
Despite the loss, Mount Aloysius received strong individual performances. Sophomore MH

Molly Richards (Naples, Fla. / Naples) combined for 17 of the Mounties' 25 kills. Sophomore L
Madison Barr (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Shaler), led the team defensively with 17 digs.
The Mounties will now turn their attention to the postseason, where they will host a first-round playoff match on Wednesday, November 13, against Hilbert. Mount Aloysius previously beat Hilbert, in three sets, back on November 2. The Mounties have won nine straight matches against the Hawks, dating back to 2015.
