How It Happened:
- For the second game in a row, the Mounties would come out with an early goal, leading 1-0 after just 50 seconds of action behind
Clara Larios-Soto's (Laurel, MD, Laurel) opening shot.
- Less than thirty seconds of game time would pass before the Mounties would score again, with Figinski putting in her first of six goals for the game.
- Two more goals in quick succession would put the Mounties up four less than five minutes into the game.
- Slowing the pace, the Mounties would find it harder to push the ball into their opponent's side of the field, going 1-3 on clear attempts for the rest of the quarter.
- The second quarter went the way of the Mounties, as the hosts would score five unanswered goals.
- In the closing minutes of the half, Waynesburg would finally put one in to get on the board, but the Mounties would immediately respond, taking a 10-1 lead into halftime.
- Scoring three goals in the third, the Mounties would give up a free position shot which Waynesburg would convert, putting the score at 13-2 going into the final fifteen minutes.
