Mount Aloysius Claims First Win, Rolls Past Penn State DuBois 102–73

CRESSON, Pa. — Mount Aloysius broke through for its first win of the season Tuesday night, rolling past Penn State DuBois 102-73 behind a balanced, fast-paced attack that delivered four double-figure scorers and a season-best shooting performance.

The Mounties (1-5) never trailed, jumping out to a 45-27 halftime lead and shooting 56% in the opening period. They were even sharper after the break, hitting 60% from the field in the second half and finishing at 58% overall.

Donovan Bass-Briscoe (Alexandria, Va., Hayfield) powered the early surge and ended with 21 points, six rebounds and five assists. Troy Tinch (Baltimore, Md., Calvert Hall) added 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting, while Senique Jenkins (Columbus, Ohio, Imani Christian ) and Ignacio Nascimento-Zschaeck (Barcelona, Spain, Springfield Commonwealth Academy (Mass.) chipped in 11 apiece. The Mounties' depth proved decisive as well, with 33 bench points and 20 fast-break points fueling the rout.

Mount Aloysius dominated the glass 38-22, converted 29 points off turnovers and outscored the visitors 42-24 in the paint. The Mounties' defense also forced 22 turnovers and collected 16 steals.

The win came at the Athletic Convocation & Wellness Center and marked the Mounties' highest scoring output of the season.

Mount Aloysius returns to action on Dec. 3 with a 7 p.m. road matchup at Carlow.
