ALFRED, N.Y. – The Mount Aloysius Mounties defeated the Alfred State Pioneers, 72-57, in a solid road performance Saturday afternoon.
The Mounties (13-9, 8-5) were led by
Molly Kosmack (Homer City, Pa., Homer-Center), who recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Annalyn Isaacs (Mars, Pa., Mars) contributed 14 points, including 3-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc, along with 5 rebounds.
Molly Richards (Naples, Fla., Naples) also chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds to help fuel the victory.
The Mounties shot 46.9% from the field and forced the Pioneers (6-15, 5-7) into 15 turnovers, showcasing strong defense to complement their offensive effort.
The Mounties will look to build on this momentum when they return home to face the Carlow Celtics on Saturday at 4 PM.
