Marietta, Ohio - The Mount Aloysius Women's Lacrosse team (0-3) traveled to Marietta, Ohio, to face the Marietta Pioneers (4-2). The Mounties would look to get back on the right track after back-to-back losses against the Barons and Bearcats.
Unfortunately, the Mounties were unable to stop the onslaught of shots and goals from the Pioneers side, losing 18-5. On the defensive end, the Mounties would give up 32 shots, 23 of which were on goal. While on the offensive end, they would muster 12 shots, 11 of which were on goal.
The goal scorers for the Mounties were: Cassidy Cook (Glen Burnie, Md. / North County) with two, and Hanna Geissler (Irwin, Pa. / Norwin), Clara Larios-Soto (Laurel, Md. / Laurel), and Amanda Price (Columbia, Pa. / Hempfield), each with one.
Mount Aloysius will take on Cedar Crest this Tuesday, March 11th, in their home opener. Cedar Crest is currently 0-0 with the Mount being their second game of the season.
