Cresson, Pa. - The Mount Aloysius women's lacrosse team (6-7, 4-2 AMCC) hosted the Alfred State Pioneers (4-9, 2-4 AMCC), in the AMCC Semifinals, on Tuesday. Before the thunder, the Mounties would storm to a 12-3 victory.

The Mounties would start slow, with much of the first quarter being 1-1. Then, in the last five minutes of the quarter, the Mounties would score two goals to end the quarter 3-1.

Things would pick up more in the second quarter. Alfred State would come out with a vengeance scoring a goal 30 seconds in to make the game 3-2. Mount Aloysius would respond at the end of the second quarter, scoring twice to end the half 5-2.

The Mounties would turn it on in the third quarter, scoring a whopping seven goals. Four of their seven goals would come in the first five minutes, with Cassidy Cook (Glen Burnie, Md. / North County) scoring during a man disadvantage for Mount Aloysius. The Mounties scoring run would be interrupted by a goal from Alfred State to make the game 9-3. The Mounties would answer back, scoring three goals before the end of the game.
