ALTOONA, Pa. — Mount Aloysius put together a strong offensive effort Wednesday night but came up short in a 92–72 loss in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference men's basketball game at Adler Arena.
The Mounties shot nearly 41 percent from the field and knocked down 10 3-pointers, with contributions coming from throughout the lineup. Mount Aloysius scored 43 second-half points and finished with 27 bench points, continuing to attack despite facing an early deficit.
Donovan Bass-Briscoe (Alexandria, Va., Hayfield) led the Mounties with 20 points, adding nine rebounds and four assists in a complete performance. Senique Jenkins (Columbus, Ohio, Imani Christian ) followed with 11 points and six rebounds, while Fin Hutchison (Murrysville, Pa., Franklin Regional) chipped in 10 points off the bench and went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
Mount Aloysius showed improved efficiency after halftime, shooting nearly 49 percent in the second half and consistently finding success in the paint. The Mounties also shared the ball effectively, recording 13 assists on 27 made field goals.
Mount Aloysius moved to 2–15 overall and 0–8 in AMCC play and will look to build off the offensive rhythm as conference competition continues.
