LATROBE, Pa. - The Mount Aloysius College women's soccer team fell to Saint Vincent College, 8-0, Wednesday night at UPMC Field.
The Mounties battled through the contest against the Bearcats, who jumped out to an early lead and added to their advantage throughout the opening half. Saint Vincent held an 8-0 lead at the break before the Mounties held the Bearcats scoreless over the final 45 minutes.
Mount Aloysius will look to bounce back Saturday night when it travels to Waynesburg University for a 7:30 p.m. matchup with the Yellowjackets.
The contest will take the Mounties back to Coach Tyler Sisler's alma mater. Mount Aloysius enters Saturday's matchup with a 1-6-1 all-time record against Waynesburg. The most recent meeting came last season, when the Yellowjackets defeated the Mounties, 4-0.
