NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Mount Aloysius College men's soccer team battled through a rainy Saturday night on the road at Westminster, falling to the Titans, 3-1.
The Mounties found themselves in an early hole after Westminster scored just 1:42 into the contest. The Titans added another goal in the 36th minute to take a 2-0 advantage into halftime.
Mount Aloysius came out of the locker room looking to make a push and got on the board in the 68th minute when Rasmus Andersson (Orebro, Sweden, Virginska Gymnasiet) found the back of the net for his second goal of the season.
The Mounties continued to pressure the Titans throughout the remainder of the contest, finishing with a commanding 14-7 advantage in shots. Westminster, however, added an insurance goal in the 88th minute to secure the 3-1 victory.
Despite the result, the Mounties controlled the offensive chances throughout the night, outshooting the Titans while battling the rainy conditions on the road.

Mount Aloysius will hit the road again Wednesday night, traveling to Lycoming College for a 7 p.m. matchup at UPMC Field at Keiper Stadium in Williamsport, Pa. The Warriors enter Wednesday's contest with a 2-2 record. The Mounties will be looking for their first win over Lycoming, as Mount Aloysius is 0-5-1 all-time against the Warriors.
